 We are hiring for : Senior Azure Data Modeler.

 

Location:  Bangalore /Chennai 

Experience: 8+yrs

CTC: upto 28 Lpa

 

Job Summary:

Who are we looking for?

Senior Data Modeler who has good expertise in multiple Databases coming from Specialty Insurance background with London Lloyds Market exposure

Technical Skills:

·         Very Strong knowledge in Oracle and PostgreSQL Databases and its architecture is required.

·         Very Strong Knowledge in Azure is required.

·         Very strong in OLTP and OLAP/dimensional/Star Schema data modelling is required.

·         Data Modeling and one time as well as continuous Azure Data Migration experience is required.

·         Very strong in analyzing and documenting the existing Database Architecture and reverse engineering.

·         Very strong in communication to carried out discussion/interaction/Interview with all the stack holders to Capturing and modeling data requirements, data definitions, business rules, data quality requirements and logical/physical data models to ensure data solutions to best fit for the customer needs.

·         Creating and refining the database designs to fulfill the requirements including regulatory, privacy, quality, governance, data volume, frequency need, and long-term data growth.

·         Document the data model by clearly defining metadata, data definitions, data relationships/dependencies, data values, data lineage, data restrictions, data retention policies, data usage policies.

·         Very strong skills to leverage with performance tuning and delivering efficient SQL queries for data management and data extraction.

·         Knowledge in Oracle to PostgreSQL migration is required.

·         Exposure in Unix/Python shell scripting

 

Functional/Domain Skills:

·         Very strong insurance domain background

·         Experience in Logistics is required.

 

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

·         Use a variety of information gathering techniques (e.g., interviews, facilitation, diagrams) to gather complex business data requirements from Business teams and data science and analytics teams

·         Serve as the business modeler/data analyst for data projects and initiatives, creating conceptual and logical business models used to generate physical data models and database schema

·         Partner with DBAs/engineers to transform logical data models into physical database designs while optimizing the performance and maintainability of the physical database.

·         Responsible for establishing standards and guidelines related to database architecture, data storage, reporting, dashboards, ETL and Business Intelligence as used in our applications

·         Design and build data pipelines and complex engineering required to sustainably source data into a cloud environment

·         Collaborate with internal organizations to source data and interoperate with existing systems

·         Act as subject matter expert (SME) to internal and external parties for data related projects

·         Work across the organization to develop new data-based capabilities in our products to increase both internal and customer value

·         Work alongside Data Operations and other business units to help design, implement, and support solutions

·         Support our Data organization to ensure our applications are collecting, organizing, and providing the desired data points to support the data strategy

·         Contribute to our core digital platform and augment capabilities to build data assets and continuously improve our platform offering

·         Learn things quickly, while working outside the area of expertise

·         Exposure to working in an onshore/offshore model

·         Analyze a problem and realize exactly what all will be affected by even the smallest of change you make in your design

·         Ability to communicate complex technology to no tech audience in simple and precise manner

 

Qualification:

·         Any Degree from a reputed college - B.Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M. Tech or equivalent technical degree is preferred.

8+ years of relevant IT experience
